Our intervention team members consist of a BCBA/BCaBA, and RBT
Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA): A BCBA designs and oversees your child’s ABA therapy program. They conduct assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, analyze progress data, and supervise the therapy team to ensure your child is making meaningful progress toward their goals.
Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA): A BCaBA works under the supervision of a BCBA to help implement and monitor treatment plans. They support skill-building programs, assist with data collection, and help ensure consistency in your child’s therapy across settings and supervise the RBTs.
Registered Behavior Technician (RBT): An RBT provides direct, hands-on ABA therapy with your child. They work one-on-one to teach skills, reduce challenging behaviors, and collect data during sessions—all while following the treatment plan created by the BCBA.
Our ABA services are delivered through a collaborative, team-based approach designed to ensure consistency, quality, and meaningful progress for your child.
At the center of each program is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) who is responsible for conducting assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, and overseeing all aspects of your child’s intervention. The BCBA uses ongoing data collection and progress monitoring to make informed decisions and adjust programming as needed.
The day-to-day therapy is implemented by Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs), who work directly with your child in home and community settings. RBTs carry out the treatment plan as designed by the BCBA, focusing on skill acquisition, behavior reduction, and real-life application of goals.

We provide compassionate, personalized Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy for children and young adults diagnosed with autism, right in your home and community. In-home services offer convenience for busy families while allowing your child to learn and grow in a familiar, comfortable environment. This also gives our team the opportunity to support real-life challenges as they happen—helping your child build meaningful skills that carry over into everyday routines.
At Step by Step ABA, we believe that communication is the foundation for independence and meaningful connection. Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA therapy) is highly effective in increasing functional communication skills for neurodiverse individuals, including children with autism. When a child can express their wants, needs, and feelings, we often see growth in independence, improved social skills, and a reduction in challenging behaviors.
Step by Step focuses on building social skills that truly matter in everyday life. Through ABA therapy, we help children develop meaningful, socially significant skills that support connection, confidence, and independence based on their individual needs.
Strong social skills allow your child to form meaningful relationships with peers and family members, communicate more effectively, and participate more fully in their community.
At Step by Step ABA, we use a compassionate, trauma-informed approach to ABA therapy to help decrease challenging behaviors in the comfort of your home. Our strategies are always individualized, respectful, and focused on building trust.
Our in-home ABA therapy services are not only to support your child, but to empower you as a parent. Through our parent coaching model, we work side-by-side with families to teach practical, effective strategies that can be used throughout your daily routines.
We believe every child has the potential to grow toward greater independence. Through ABA therapy we help children build the everyday life skills they need to succeed at home, in school, and in their community.
Our ABA therapy focuses on developing essential life skills such as dressing, hygiene, following routines, making choices, and completing daily tasks. These skills not only support independence now, but may lay the foundation for future success opportunities for employment later in life.
Early intervention focuses on teaching skills developed in the first 3 years of life. It is typically provided for ages 18 months to 3 years old. Skill areas targeted are communication/language, social/emotional, physical, cognitive and self-help.
Provide one on one support in the classroom for students that need a higher level of behavior support in public and private schools.
FBAs are conducted in an efficient, compassionate and professional manner. Time frames for FBA’s vary per case based on the individual needs of the student. They consist of the following steps:
● Interview of family/staff
● Review of pertinent documents
● Direct observation
● Data collection
● Functional Analysis (if needed)
● Completion of report
Classroom support can be provided to an individual student(s), and/or a whole class. This includes but not limited to whole class management strategies, individual support strategies and behavior intervention plans if warranted. Staff training is based on the needs of student(s). If behavior intervention plans are necessary, the staff would receive an initial training on implementation of the plan along with regular supervision to ensure the plan continues to be implemented.
